TN GOP executive director Michael Sullivan to serve as US Senate candidate Bill Hagerty’s campaign manager

Michael Sullivan, who has served as executive director of the Tennessee Republican Party for the last two years, is exiting his role to become the campaign manager of GOP U.S. Senate candidate and former ambassador to Japan Bill Hagerty.

Sullivan confirmed his forthcoming departure to The Tennessean on Thursday.

During his time as executive director, Sullivan helped oversee the party’s involvement in the 2018 midterm election, including the U.S. Senate race, as well as several special legislative elections.

He previously worked for the state party from 2011 to 2015.

Sullivan said he will start his new job as Hagerty’s campaign manager on Nov. 1.
