Chick-fil-A has bent the Knee

Two different CEOs, two different choices of faith and courage!

In September, Shoreline Washington’s CRISTA Ministries and their new, soft spoken CEO Jacinta Tegman were betrayed by a senior VP and attacked with three separate front-page news articles by the Seattle Times and the local Democratic Party.

Their crime? Simply teaching Christian marriage to students at their privately-run Christian school Kings Academy HS.

Fortunately, the LGBTQ and pagan elites who run Washington state and the Democratic Party failed to bully the new CEO into ending their practice of teaching Christian marriage to their students. Rather than surrender to the corrupt attacks, Jacinta courageously chose to stand firm and loudly proclaim their support for Christian marriage and love, and the Good News of Jesus Christ.

In November, it was Atlanta’s Chick-fil-A (CFA) and CEO Tim Tassopoulos time to choose. Despite years of powerful attacks from legions of anti-Christian enemies, CFL remarkedly grew to $10 billion/year in sales and had become America’s most beloved “Christian” business by practicing founder S. Truett Cathy’s Christian values.

Unfortunately, Tim recently chose to end CFA’s long association with The Salvation Army and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes than possibly lose “new markets” and presumable, the 30 pieces of silver being offered by the powerful LGBTQ hate groups. Even worse, we learn that CFL now gives money to Southern Poverty Law Center, one of our nation’s most radical anti-Christian hate groups!

CFL did not just surrender, but now has joined with the LGBQ hate groups in their war to destroy Christians in America!

Unlike Jacinta, Tim “bent the knee” to the LGBTQ groups rather than continue supporting Cathy’s Christian values and keeping the loyalty of millions of faithful Christians customers. I can only imagine that S.Truett Cathy is spinning in his grave!

Welcome to the start of America’s second civil war.

Arrogantly, these anti-Christian groups who now completely control the Democratic Party, Media, Academia, and professional associations want to replace our Judeo-Christian civilization with one based on the pagan values of libertine sex, subjective feelings and values, totalitarian power, and death.

Still today, I see hope! I see more and more faithful and courageous Christians, who when tested or persecuted, choose to let their light shine forth, and respond with great acts of faith and courage!

Barronelle Stutzman in Arlene’s Flowers in 2013 (Bruce Ellefson)

Ordinary people like Barronelle Stutzman of Arlene’s Flowers in Richland Washington. She chose to stand firm in her faith against the unlimited power of WA Attorney General Bob Ferguson and the LGBTQ hate groups all the way to the US Supreme Court. Her outcome is still pending.

Or like Coach Joe Kennedy of Bremerton HS in WA, who, when the pagan elites running his school demanded he stop bending his knee and praying to God at football games, refused! He was soon fired and punished by his school district. Unfortunately, our court system held up the decision to punished him.

When you can only serve one master, do you choose to bend the knee to Satan or to God? Our culture elites have convinced us it is not “politically correct” or “nice” to publicly talk about evil or the powers and principalities that work to destroy us with temptations of sex, money, fame, and power. Christians must acknowledge that evil exists around us and we need prayer, to be able to live and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to not “bend the knee.”

We live in a time such as this in America, where within a decade all Christians, individually or organizationally, will be challenged and offered a choice—whom do you serve? One can’t hide from the coming confrontations and persecutions—they are growing ever more powerful each month. The difference between the two sides in this war is as clear as night and day or good and evil.

At the end of the day, we must trust that Jesus Christ is King, and that, when tested by evil, God will give us the faith and courage to choose correctly—like with Jacinta, Barronelle, and Joe.

As St. Paul taught the Romans suffering persecution living in Pagan Rome, “If God is for us, who can be against us?
