Jackson Police continue to actively investigate early morning shootings.

Jackson Police are continuing to investigate related shooting incidents from late Monday evening into the early morning hours of today, December 17th.

At approximately 11:52 pm on the 16th of December, Jackson Police Officers responded to 215 Walnut Street to a reported shooting where they found 26 year old Shartavis Rollins of Jackson, with gun shot wounds to his body. Rollins was transported to a local hospital where he is currently in critical condition.

At approximately 3:50 am on December 17th, Jackson Police Officers were dispatched to a report of shots fired in the area of 32 Foxlea Cove and located an occupied residence that had been shot into. Although the house was occupied, there were no injuries reported from the incident.

At approximately 4:10 am on December 17th, Jackson Police Officers responded to the area of 218 Lenoir Street to shots fired in the area and located 47 year old Charlene Allbright deceased with gunshot wounds. The preliminary investigations into these three incidents, show that they are connected to one another and were not random or individually motivated acts. The investigations are very active and ongoing at this time.
