Was the shutdown a mistake?

Gary Varvel’s Views

Dennis Prager writes, “The worldwide lockdown may be the greatest mistake in history.” But the good news is, many states are opening up for business again, like my home state of Indiana. But it’s too late for Shelley Luther, a Dallas salon owner who was jailed for reopening in violation of a court order. She said she just wanted to feed her family. There is a GoFundMe page set up to help her.

Ironically, Hillary Clinton endorsed Joe Biden last week just as the Tara Reade’s sexual assault allegations heated up. So much for the #MeToo movement’s “believe all women” mantra. After weeks of no coverage, the media reluctantly reported on this story. Of course, unlike Brett Kavanaugh who was nearly destroyed in the press, the accusation against Biden has been dealt with skepticism. And as Nancy Pelosi so eloquently explained, she doesn’t believe the accusation because, “The fact that Joe Biden is Joe Biden.” Meaning, if you’re a Democrat, then you get a pass.

New documents appear to show that the FBI denied Gen. Michael Flynn his rights to an attorney and set him up to get him fired. Personally, I think someone needs to go to jail and it shouldn’t be Flynn. I remind you that Attorney General William Barr handpicked U.S. Attorney John Durham to investigate the Russia Collusion hoax. According to the Washington Examiner, Durham is focused on the FBI’s handling of Gen. Flynn’s case. To be honest, I’m pretty cynical and I’ll be shocked if any of these swamp creatures go to jail. Which means this kind of corruption will continue.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” – Proverbs 3:5-6.
