White House adviser: ‘I’m glad Mr. Obama has a new job as Joe Biden’s press secretary’

White House trade adviser Peter Navarro said Sunday that he was “glad Mr. Obama has a new job as Joe Biden’s press secretary.”

The comment came after ABC’s George Stephanopoulos asked Navarro to respond to the former president saying during a commencement address that things are “screwed up” because leaders are doing “what feels good, what’s convenient, what’s easy.”

Former Vice President Joe Biden is the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, set to take on President Trump in November.

The White House adviser also countered that Obama did not mention manufacturing or China, both of which he said impacted how the pandemic affected the U.S.

As far as I’m concerned, his administration was a kumbaya of incompetence, in which we saw millions of manufacturing jobs go off to China,” he said.

He said the administration’s goal is to bring manufacturing and jobs back to the U.S.
