“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.” ~H. L. Mencken

OMG, the horrors, could there really be a government shutdown? What would we do; where would we turn?

In the past week the national media has been all a twitter with the possibility of a “government shutdown.” Enough lies have been uttered to have made Pinocchio resemble a Boston Terrier.

Just imagine: 535 members of Congress out of work and unable to introduce and pass such wonderful legislation as the Patriot Act, Obamacare, the National Defense Authorization Act, provisions for funding thousands of drones, money to provide arms and military equipment to members of al Qaeda so they can turn them on our troops in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The Department of Homeland Security would have no money to spend determining Christians, Veterans and Constitutionalists are potential domestic terrorists.

The National Security Agency would not have the funds necessary to monitor all our emails, phone calls and text messages.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency would have no more money to enrich well connected contractors in the event of natural disasters such as Hurricanes Katrina and Sandy; no money to build and maintain FEMA camps in the event some of those DHS potential domestic terrorists get out of hand.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation would be financially unprepared for another Waco or Ruby Ridge, not to mention programs such as COINTELPRO and other domestic spying.

The Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives would be forced to do raids such as Waco on the cheap with no more providing assault weapons to known gangs in programs such as Fast and Furious. Just think of the frustration not having the funds to declare a 14 inch shoestring a machinegun  or to teach agents how to perjure themselves in court.

Our wonderful Department of Defense would not have the necessary funds to enable them to misplace 2.3 trillion taxpayer dollars;  nor waste billions more.

Just think, the Bureau of Land Management would not have the funds necessary to create wilderness areas out of good farm and ranch land nor attempt to steal the water from farmers and ranchers. They would have problems paying their law enforcement personnel to harass folks just trying to enjoy the outdoors.

The U.S. Forest Service would be forced to stop closing roads to public lands, stop intimidating hunters and campers and find other ways to send money each year to the United Nations.

Shutting down the Internal Revenue Service could be devastating; just think of all the people who would be forced to find uses for the money they work so hard to earn.

How terrible it would be to not have the Environmental Protection Agency around to assist us in our everyday lives. What are people thinking? They need regulation by this agency who has only our best interests at heart.

And just to think how unimaginable it would be to not have the Transportation Security Agency around to steal our luggage, molest our children, wives, mothers and sisters. They provide such a needed service  and are just there to insure our safety and security. So what if they can’t recognize a Congressional Medal of Honor or the hero who has it.

We also would not have those wonderful nine clowns in black gowns known as the US Supreme Court who can find enigmas hiding in penumbras, at one time declare slavery legal, find a farmer who grew his own grain to feed to his own cattle in violation of the Commerce Clause, declare Obamacare a tax, and to find the power to order a state to stop counting votes in a national election.

Certainly we could not forget our wonderful Central Intelligence Agency and all the wonderful things they contribute to our lives on a daily basis. What would happen to the international drug trade?

We would have no one available to make up preposterous stories to cover events such as TWA 800.

Of course we would have to endure peaceful times without a plethora of False Flag events. Where would we be without the OKC bombing, 9/11 in 93 and 2001, and a myriad of very questionable lone nut gun massacres?

Surely, we can’t forget the Department of Education; where on earth would we send our children to be indoctrinated, vaccinated and drugged if it weren’t for these wonderful public servants?

The above is in no way a comprehensive list, I could go on and on about the terrible things that could happen if we truly shut down our government and I’m sure each of you have some terrible consequences of such an action you could add to the above.

My final plea to the wonderful members of congress would be; please, please, don’t throw us poor, ignorant citizens in the briar patch!
