Dodgers beat Braves, will play Tampa Bay Rays in World Series

The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Atlanta Braves in a hard-fought and exciting Game 7 of the National League Championship Series on Sunday night, advancing to the World Series for the third time in four years.

They erased a pair of Braves leads and bedeviled them again with two-out magic, ultimately prevailing on Cody Bellinger’s seventh-inning home run to give them a 4-3 victory and their third NL pennant in four seasons.

Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Charlie Morton (50) delivers during the first inning of the American League Championship Series game seven against the Houston Astros Saturday, Oct. 17, 2020 at Petco Park in San Diego.

The teams will play their first World Series game on Tuesday in Arlington, Texas.
