Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter founder Jack Dorsey testified before the Senate this week. Big Tech is changing America and not in a good way. Here is the time lapse video of how I drew this cartoon.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” – Philippian 4:6-7

I was about to leave the UPS store when 2 ladies entered. As I passed by them, I could smell their perfume. I confess that I was closer than 6 feet from them but I was wearing a mask. I could smell them through the mask.

Question: If the aroma of women’s perfume can permeate a mask, how effective is it against the coronavirus? It’s an honest question. I’m not a scientist but my accidental experiment, suggests that I’m not getting much protection if I can smell women’s perfume. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not starting an anti-mask revolt. I wear masks. I’m just thinking out loud.

And before you try to lecture me about how serious this virus, with a 99.7 percent survival rate is, what are we to think about this New York Times headline: “A New Study Questions Whether Masks Protect Wearers. You Need to Wear Them Anyway.”

Which leads me to my next question: Why do you wear a mask in public? Is it to protect you from Covid-19, protect other people from you, or is it to protect yourself from the ‘Covid Karens.’

I’ll be honest. I’m more afraid of the ‘Covid Karens’ than I am of the coronavirus.

Example: I was standing in line at the Post Office recently when a man walked in without a mask. The young man in front of me saw the unmasked man, and suddenly transformed into a ‘Karen.’ His eyes became angry turned toward me and said, “Mmmfua badakathcare?”

At least that’s what it sounded like through his mask from 6 feet away. Not wanting to get involved, I just smiled but then I realized that he couldn’t see my smile through my mask. The Chinese virus has fundamentally changed America. But don’t let your hearts be troubled. God promised to give us peace that ‘surpasses all understanding’ if we pray.

Some governors are threatening homeowners with arrest if they have too many people in their homes for Thanksgiving.

FLASHBACK: This cartoon from March, 2019 illustrates the fake news media tactics that poisoned the minds of many Americans making them believe a lie.

I drew this cartoon for the Indianapolis Business Journal.
