Teen arrested in Indianapolis mass murder that killed five, unborn child

Deadly Shooting-IndianapolisA 17-year-old relative has been arrested in the Indianapolis slaying that left five members of the same family and an unborn child dead, according to local reports.

The juvenile, who was not identified, is charged in the murders of Kezzie Childs, 42, Raymond Childs Jr., 42, their 18-year-old son Elijah, 13-year-old daughter Rita, 19-year-old Kiara Hawkins, and her unborn child, “Baby Boy Hawkins,” according to police and local station WRTV.

The teen — reportedly a member of the tragic family — also faces charges of intentional manslaughter with a handgun and attempted murder.

The victims were found riddled with gunshot wounds at a home on the city’s northeast side Sunday morning.

A sixth victim — a teenage boy — is in critical condition but is expected to survive his gunshot wounds, police said.
