Praise Him

“In that day you will say: “I will praise you, Lord. Although you were angry with me, your anger has turned away and you have comforted me. Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.” With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. In that day you will say: “Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted. Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world. Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel among you.” Isaiah 12:1-6

When we read Isaiah 12, we see that our focus in the midst of trials ought to be on God. Isn’t it telling that when we get our eyes off ourselves and look to God, we begin to see a way through whatever circumstances we face? I recently visited with a friend who had to have a foot amputated because of a health issue. While going through this season, he has not taken on an attitude of self-pity but instead has found it in his heart to give praise to God. He has begun using his recovery and physical therapy sessions as an opportunity to love and share Jesus with those helping him and others he has met in the medical facilities. My friend is living out his trust in the Lord.

Today, whatever you are facing, I urge you to trust God. Amid news that comes out of the US Capitol, the White House, or your State Capitol that goes against the very heart of God, we can continue to trust God. May you take time to worship and praise God today. May your eyes remain fixed upon Him because He is the way, the truth, and the life.

Here is a part of a hymn written by Fanny Crosby that I trust will encourage you today:

Praise Him! Praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer!
Sing, O Earth, His wonderful love proclaim!
Hail Him! Hail Him! Highest archangels in glory;
Strength and honor give to His holy Name!
Like a shepherd, Jesus will guard His children,
In His arms He carries them all day long.

I am grateful that you are standing to advance faith, family, and freedom. Thank you for taking time to become familiar with and pray with me about the following issues as God works through them and is glorified in our lives, families, nation, and around the world.

Senate Advances Bogus Religious Freedom ‘Fix’ to Radical Same-Sex Marriage Bill
Read: Genesis 19; Matthew 19:4-6; Romans 1:18-32; 1 Timothy 2:1-2
Pray that at least 3 of the Senators who voted for the (Dis)Respect for Marriage Act would change their mind and that the bill would ultimately fail.

Experts Warn That Children Are Being Targeted for Adult Content on Social Media
Read:
Deuteronomy 11:18-21; 1 Peter 5:2-3; Galatians 5:22-23; Proverbs 22:6
Pray for parents to be present in their children’s lives, developing family communication and healthy boundaries as the children grow and mature.

‘It’s Cultural Imperialism’: U.S. Men’s Soccer Pushes LGBT in the Middle East
Read:
1 Corinthians 6:18; Hebrews 13:4; Ephesians 5:5; Jude 1:7
Pray the US Men’s Soccer team would see and honor the boundaries God has placed around sex. Pray also that those on the team who are without Christ would meet Him as their Savior and Lord.

Detrans Advocate Chloe Cole Sues Doctors for ‘Breaching Standard of Care’
Read: Deuteronomy 22:5; Genesis 1:1; Genesis 1:27; Matthew 19:14
Pray for medical professionals to come under conviction about this extreme agenda that prioritizes an agenda over the protection of children.

Thank you for taking the time to read and pray about these issues. As we move into the season of celebrating the birth of Jesus, take time to seek the Lord daily and draw near to Him as He draws near to you. I am praying Isaiah 12 over you today, that you will take time to give God praise for your entire being, from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet.

Let me know how I can pray for you and your family. I love you and thank God for you. I would welcome testimonies of how God is working in your life as you stand for Truth. You can email me at prayer@frc.org.

May you have a blessed week and remember to:

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
