Why won’t Lamar Alexander come clean?

Several weeks ago, Campaign For Liberty sent surveys to all the candidates in the Tennessee U.S. Senate Republican primary.

As of today, Lamar Alexander still refuses to respond to our survey and tell us where he stands on issues vital to our movement and our nation’s future.

Maybe that’s because Lamar Alexander is afraid to let the people of Tennessee know he has:

  • Supported the gutting of Fourth Amendment protections with warrantless roving wiretaps and intrusive domestic spying provisions;
  • Opposed Ron Paul’s Audit the Fed bill, which will finally expose the Federal Reserve’s cronyism, dollar destruction, and economic manipulation to the American people.  When he was chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, Lamar Alexander called the Fed Audit “a bad idea”;
  • Been one of the leading champions of the so-called “Marketplace Fairness Act,” more accurately called the National Internet Tax Mandate.

That’s why it is vital you contact Lamar Alexander at 615-678-1940 and demand he renounce his past support for the National Internet Tax Mandate and his other anti-liberty positions by returning his Campaign for Liberty Candidate Survey in support of liberty and limited government.

In 2011 and 2013, Lamar Alexander was an original cosponsor of the National Internet Tax Mandate, and he helped Harry Reid ram it through the Senate in 2013.

Now Senator Alexander is leading the effort to move the Mandate through the Senate again, making it more important than ever that he hear from you!   tax unless Reid attaches the National Internet Tax Mandate to the bill.

That right… Lamar Alexander is so determined to expand government’s control over the Internet that he’s willing to hold up popular legislation that would protect you from being taxed whenever you go online to do it.

Lamar Alexander must think his gambit will provide cover to wavering senators to vote for the unpopular National Internet Tax Mandate right before an election by allowing them to claim they had to do it to protect you from Internet “access” taxes.

That is why we must let Senator Alexander know we see through his scheme! So please contact Lamar Alexander at 615-678-1940.

Demand he renounce his past support for the Internet Tax Mandate and his other anti-liberty positions by returning his Campaign for Liberty Candidate Survey in support of liberty and limited government. Lamar Alexander’s National Internet Tax Mandate will…

  • Raise prices on everything you buy online.
  • Bail out big-spending governors and legislatures with more taxpayer money – keeping them once again from reining in their out-of-control budgets.
  • Violate the principle of No Taxation without Representation by allowing state legislatures to raise taxes on individuals and businesses located out of state with little, if any, recourse against politicians who hike tax rates.
  • Free tax collectors in one state to pursue retailers across state lines.
  • Open the door for government bureaucrats from all fifty states to examine every Internet purchase you make in order to ensure you are complying with the Mandate.
  • And make it easier for the federal government to sick
  • the IRS on the Internet!

Even worse, the Mandate’s massive compliance cost could drive many smaller Internet companies out of business… and discourage the creation of the next Amazon.com.

So please call Lamar Alexander at 615-678-1940 and tell him to publicly renounce his support for the National Internet Tax Mandate and his other anti-liberty positions by returning his Campaign for Liberty Candidate Survey 100%.

In Liberty,

Norman Singleton
