Today is the big day. Check out the new Tennessee Legislative Report Card!

We are really excited to officially relaunch this great tool that will provide Tennesseans a more transparent look into how they are represented in the Tennessee legislature.

The Tennessee Legislative Report Card was officially launched in 2018 by a group of Middle Tennessee volunteers led by the efforts of Jackie Archer out of Murfreesboro, TN. For years, Jackie and her team grew the report card and put in place processes to calculate both voting scores and leadership grades for members of our state’s General Assembly. It was and still is the only Tennessee state-specific report card of its kind. Almost one year ago, Jackie reached out to Tennessee Stands to see if we might be able to continue the work they had begun five years ago. We were both humbled and honored by the request.  The mission of the Tennessee Legislative Report Card (TLRC) fits Tennessee Stands like a glove. The decision to take on this project was an easy one. Because Tennessee Stands is not a lobbying organization with any specific agenda, the TLRC with continue to cover a wide variety of issues like medical freedom, election integrity, education, limited government, illegal immigration, budget, and more. We don’t peddle influence. Therefore, our scoring methods are not subject to any external pressures. You can trust that the TLRC will simply tell it as it is. Please visit the website today and browse around. Make sure to subscribe to the TLRC action alerts email list from the website. And if you can, pitch in financially. We will continue to develop this tool and expand features on the site as funds are available.

New groundbreaking features for the Tennessee Legislative Report Card.

Pictured above is an example from an individual legislator’s report card and profile on the TLRC. To our knowledge, campaign financial data has never been made available with a voting scorecard. But we think it’s a marriage made in heaven. Money and votes have quite the relationship when it comes to politics.

On every report card, you get quick access to that legislator’s campaign data.

  • How much of their money comes from special interests?
  • How much money have they raised since being elected to office?
  • Who are their Top (5) political action committee contributors?

In addition to those quick details on the profile page, you can click on the button to access a complete and FULL REPORT of that legislator’s campaign contribution data.
