A new report analyzes FBI crime reports to determine the safety of cities in Tennessee.

ValuePenguin gave 89 Tennessee cities a crime score, and each city’s score was adjusted for population size. The score also took into account violent and property crimes per 100,000 people, the site says.

The top ten most dangerous cities in Tennessee are:

10. Humboldt

9. Knoxville

8. Ripley

7. Nashville

6. Athens

5. Chattanooga

4. Jackson

3. Crossville

2. Dyersburg

1. Memphis

Also notable is that Cleveland ranks as the 15th most dangerous city in the state and East Ridge ranks 20th.

Memphis has 1,656 violent crimes and around 6,000 property crimes per 100,000 people.

In comparison, Chattanooga has 982 violent crimes and 6,600 property crimes per 100,000 people.

Tennessee has recently been ranked America’s Most Dangerous State, according to Law Street. The website analyzed the FBI’s violent crime statistics for American cities with more than 25,000 people to determine the rankings of the most violent states. The report showed murder, rape, aggravated assault, and robbery statistics from 2012. Tennessee came in at number one an average of 643.6 violent crimes per 100,000 people. The top 10 most dangerous states in America are as follows:

8. Florida

7. Louisiana

6. Delaware

5. South Carolina

4. New Mexico

3. Alaska
