House Rejects Audit the Fed The House rejected Ron Paul’s Audit the Fed by a vote of 198-229.

The Audit was included in a Republican motion to send the Dodd-Frank Fed Empowerment Act (H.R. 4173) back to committee. If the measure had been approved, H.R. 4173 would have been changed to include the thorough Audit. Even worse, the majority of those who voted against it were cosponsors of H.R. 1207.
