Actor Is Calling for All-out Civil War

Apparently, calling for Donald Trump’s assassination in Hollywood is so last week — literally.

After Johnny Depp’s “joke” last week at the Glastonbury Arts Festival that it may be time for an actor to go all John Wilkes Booth and kill the president, another actor and director has decided he’s done with just calling for the president to be killed.

Instead, Rob Reiner — the “All in the Family” actor whose sobriquet “Meathead” is apparently applicable off the show, as well — begged for “all out war” directed at President Trump, conservatives, Fox News and, you know, stuff.

“When Fox says that DT colluding with the enemy is not a crime, the fight to save Democracy is now an all out war,” Reiner tweeted Monday. “US-Stay strong. #Treason.”

Of course, part of the problem is that Trump’s “collusion” with the Russians is an evidence-free assertion backed up mostly by liberal media outlets who echo Reiner’s sentiments. But why bother with the facts? He certainly didn’t.

Lest you think that Reiner was speaking figuratively, keep in mind this isn’t the first time he’s stated that civil war is the appropriate response to Trump’s presidency.

“The way I look at it, if you are trying to take an overview — the holistic approach — we are fighting the last big major battle of the Civil War,” Reiner said shortly after last November’s election, according to The Hill.

“There’s only been two times in the history of America where, upon the election of a president, the people en masse took to the streets,” he continued. “One was Abraham Lincoln, and the other was Donald Trump. And for obviously, you know, 180-degree different reasons, but both based on race.”

Good grief.
