Methodist bishop thinks Jesus was a bigot — & several other items

This is just a tiny few of the many articles related to WHY the downward spiral of this nation is taking place.  I have been watching this fall for a good part of my almost 78 years of life.  One of the most blatant in my memories was when the Washington State legislature allowed a iman to speak (or should I say open the door for their false teachings) rather than a CHRISTIAN Pastor.  That was when I encountered CAIR in this state.
America was formed as a Christian nation not an Islamic nation or any of the PAGAN anti-Christian teachings.
Once again I have to encourage readers to buy or borrow the book, The Paradigm by Jonathon Cahn.  He tells of the downfall of Israel when Ahab took Jezebel as his wife and she brought in her PAGAN gods and anti God the Creator practices.  She also brought in the worship of Moloch (Abortion today) where parents sacrificed their LIVE babies to the fire on Moloch’s belly.  This led the Israelites to stray from God and join in with the Pagans.  That is how America has done.  Read the following articles that I gathered from this morning and there are tons more if I had the time and space to post them.
The one of the methodist *minister* is a giant example of why I am so against DENOMINATIONAL  doctrine and teaching.  I have read and heard that Hillary was/is a Methodist –  that should explain their *doctrine* (along with the article below)  All in direct opposition to God’s Word.  Bill & Hillary Clinton are todays Ahab & Jezebel.

1 Timothy 6:3-5 – If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, [even] the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;   (Read More…)

2 Timothy 4:3 – For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

2 Timothy 3:5 – Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

2 Peter 1:20-21 – Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.   (Read More…)

2 Timothy 3:16 – All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

1 Timothy 6:3 – If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, [even] the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;

Acts 2:38-39 – Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.   (Read More…)

1 John 4:1 – Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

So, I ask you –  do you have ITCHING EARS or a true thirst and hunger for Jesus Christ????
If you were to be accused of being a Born Again Christian – would there be enough evidence to convict you?????

United Methodist Bishop Dr. Karen Oliveto is an out, loud, and proud, non-celibate lesbian, and she also thinks Jesus was an out-and-out bigot.

But she praises Him, if you can believe it, for outgrowing His bigotry and prejudice, and showing us that we too can change:

“If Jesus can change, if he can give up his bigotries and prejudices, if he can realize that he had made his life too small, and if, in this realization, he grew closer to others and closer to God, than so can we.”

Update on appeal to strike judge’s derogatory words

A pastor is seeking removal of a federal judge’s “prejudicial and unnecessary” language in a case that went the pastor’s way.

Over the summer, a court in Massachusetts released Pastor Scott Lively of Abiding Truth Ministries from a case brought by a Ugandan homosexual group. Lively had made several trips to the country and, based on his faith, spoke out against the homosexual lifestyle.

The group that originally brought the suit – Sexual Minorities Uganda (SMUG) – had accused Lively of “crimes against humanity” and of actions “aiding and abetting a vicious and frightening campaign of repression against the LGBTI person” in Uganda

F. Graham after Vegas: ‘Our nation’s in trouble’

In the wake of Monday’s tragic Las Vegas mass shooting that left 59 dead and more than 500 wounded, Rev. Franklin Graham warned about the rising tide of “wickedness” sweeping the United States and urged Americans to check the “evil” brewing in their own hearts.

The Christian leader used the Las Vegas killer Stephen Paddock as just one example of people’s hardening hearts today that are turning further away from the goodness and righteousness of God’s Word.

“Many people don’t understand what would be in a person’s heart to spray bullets into a crowd to kill and wound as many as he can,” Graham started off his Facebook post on Wednesday. “Or what’s in the heart of a person who drives his car across a bridge in London and into a crowd of people, get out with a knife, and stab innocent people and police officers. Or what’s in the heart of a person who would take a knife and cut off the head of another human being.”

Attorney General issues new directive on religious freedoms

WASHINGTON (October 6, 2017) Attorney General Jeff Sessions issued a sweeping directive to agencies Friday to do as much as possible to accommodate those who say their religious freedoms are being violated.

Reaction …

“All Americans should have the freedom to peacefully live and work consistent with their faith without fear of government punishment. The guidance that the Trump administration issued today helps protect that First Amendment freedom …. The guidance is on firm legal and constitutional ground …. I commend the president for taking another step to honor his campaign promise to make religious liberty his ‘first priority’ by directing the Department of Justice to issue this guidance, which simply directs the federal government to adhere to its legal and constitutional obligation to respect existing religious freedom protections.”

Michael Farris, president and CEO
Alliance Defending Freedom

“At a very high level, this appears to a commonsense, balanced rule and a great step forward for religious liberty … Given what the government is admitting in this document, I assume the government’s lawyers won’t stand in the way of the parties [with lawsuits in process] getting that relief … This was always a big, unnecessary and divisive culture war fight.”

Mark Rienzi, senior counsel
Becket

“This a major victory for every American to exercise their freedom to believe, and to live, their faith. I look forward to looking at the details, but we are very thankful that the President and his team are moving in the right direction on religious liberty.”

Dr. Jerry A. Johnson, president & CEO
National Religious Broadcasters

The guidance, an attempt to deliver on President Donald Trump’s pledge to his evangelical supporters that he would protect religious liberties, effectively lifts a burden from religious objectors to prove that their beliefs about marriage or other topics are sincerely held.

Under the new policy, a claim of a violation of religious freedom would be enough to override many anti-discrimination protections for LGBT people, women and others. The guidelines are so sweeping that experts on religious liberty are calling them a legal powder-keg that could prompt wide-ranging lawsuits against the government.

“This is putting the world on notice: You better take these claims seriously,” said Robin Fretwell Wilson, a law professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. “This is a signal to the rest of these agencies to rethink the protections they have put in place on sexual orientation and gender identity.”
