Execs at Dove are on their knees begging forgiveness for being racists for this ad? What do you think? Are they racists, insensitive, or neither?

I think this is just funny on a variety of levels, but the executives at Unilever are currently lying prostrate on the floor, begging forgiveness for what many are considering the company’s racially offensive hatred toward black people due to the facebook ad, below.

I’m sure that images of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson leading an army of attorneys and grievance whores is flashing through their politically correct, bottom line minds.

The reason I think it is funny is that Unilever’s intent in the ad was clearly not racial. But, that doesn’t matter. If someone can find something racial in it, then BOOM! here come the attorneys and grievance whores.

When does it end? Before long, you won’t be able to show a white person and a black person side by side for fear that someone will find something inferior about the black person, height, weight, any number of things, point it out, and start screaming racism.

What do you think? Is the ad racist, simply insensitive, or just more complaining about something never intended? Spout off in the comments section below.

I have a question. Would the ad also be racist if the woman in the top two frames were white and the woman in the lower two frames black?

Following the article, below, there were a number of comments. This one had me rolling on the floor in uncontrollable laughter….

I blame #45, also. He’s got these racist mfs coming out of the woodwork, from under rocks and the pits of hell.

Dove, the personal care brand owned by Unilever, has apologized for a deeply racist ad campaign it ran on Facebook recently.

The ad, showing a black woman becoming white after using the brand’s lotion, was heavily criticized after it was posted on Facebook.

Dove, on their official Twitter page, apologized for the ad, writing:

“An image we recently posted on Facebook missed the mark in representing women of color thoughtfully. We deeply regret the offense it caused.”

The apology though was not accepted by a lot of people, as the ad was deemed too offensive.

Many asked how an ad so racist was approved by the brand’s marketing team.

What’s worse, this isn’t the first time the brand is depicting the black skin in that manner. A Twitter user posted a photo of an old ad ran by the brand, with the same underlying message.
