Nathan Wade Withdraws From Trump Case

Special prosecutor Nathan Wade withdrew Friday from the Georgia election interference case against former President Donald Trump.

Wade, who has been romantically linked to Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, said his withdrawal was in the “interest of democracy.”

Wade’s resignation came hours after Judge Scott McAfee said that in order for the case against Trump to continue, Willis had to either “step aside” or Wade could “withdraw.”

McAfee also hinted at a gag order for Willis if she continued to make public statements about Trump and other defendants.
