Killer Storms Strike the Midwest

A massive storm system rolled through several states Thursday night, producing tornadoes that destroyed homes and businesses and left three dead in Ohio.

According to the National Weather Service, an EF2 tornado touched down near Orchard Island in west-central Ohio and caused severe damage to several communities. You can see photos of the damage here.

Tornadoes also struck parts of Indiana and Kentucky, leaving a similar trail of downed trees, powerlines, and destroyed homes. A tornado coupled with baseball-sized hail is thought to have hit Little Rock, Arkansas, too.

Unconfirmed reports of tornadoes were also made in Illinois and Missouri.
