The Jackson Police Department will be conducting Sobriety Checkpoints this weekend.

Alcohol Countermeasures Team Activity

As part of ongoing efforts to ensure the safety of the citizens of Jackson, the Jackson Police Department will be performing Sobriety Checkpoints and increased traffic enforcement throughout the city this weekend.

There will be a Sobriety Checkpoint on Sunday, 15 April 2018, from 0030 until 0200 on Carriage House Drive at Wallace Road, and one Sunday, 15 April 2018, from 0215 until 0345 on North Highland Avenue at Demonbreun Drive.  During these Sobriety Checkpoints and increased traffic enforcement, officers will concentrate their efforts on removing impaired drivers from the roadways.   However, as non-compliance with safety belt and child restraint laws place people in danger, these laws will be vigorously enforced as well.

This project funded solely by the Tennessee Highway Safety Office.
