CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A new $28 million dollar development aims to meet the need for Chattanooga’s industrial market as more businesses hope to move here.

Urban Story Ventures broke ground on a Class A industrial building Thursday afternoon.

Class A buildings are typically defined as high quality infrastructure that offer state-of-the-art facilities.

A real estate company bought the site back in 2020.

As of the end of last year, 3 percent of potential industrial properties were going unused, according to the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce.

I’m proud to see Chattanooga-based Urban Story Ventures investing here at home to build on their history of transforming underutilized property into productive spaces,” said Chattanooga Mayor Tim Kelly. “This much-needed Class A industrial space will generate new jobs and tax revenue for our community.

Urban Story Ventures says it is open to leasing the space to one or multiple tenants with a move-in target of next spring.
