What is the ‘color’ of your heart (soul)?

Came across this first quote in my Quote folder this morning and grabbed it – – –  then the Devotional from Al Garza came in and they fit so well together.  As I often say – it isn’t your SKIN COLOR – it is the color of your HEART that matters.

“The soul is dyed the color of its thoughts. Think only on those things
that are in line with your principles and can bear the light of day. The
content of your character is your choice. Day by day, what you choose,
what you think, and what you do is who you become. Your integrity is
your destiny … it is the light that guides your way.”

“To whom much is given, much will be required”

But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes.
For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required:
and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
Luke 12:48 (KJV)

To whomever much is given, of him will much be required; and to whom much was entrusted, of him more will be asked.
But the servant who didn’t know [what his master wanted] and did things for which he deserved punishment will receive a light beating.
A lot will be expected from everyone who has been given a lot.

The idea of “to whom much is given, much will be required” is that we are held responsible for what we have.
If we are blessed with talents, wealth, knowledge, time, and the like, it is expected that we use these well to glorify God and benefit others.

To those reluctant to step into the light by sharing the Word of God in fear of offending others,
“Beware, your reward will be equivalent to your faith.”
In Christ our Lord,
