A Columbia man was arrested Wednesday and charged with a felony for an alleged bomb threat against Nissan Stadium in Nashville.

Joshua Williamson, 28, made a false report of an emergency as he tried to disrupt a Country Music Association concert scheduled for Sunday at the home of the NFL’s Tennessee Titans, Metropolitan Nashville police said Wednesday.

The former Central High School student was linked to the call, which was made from an out-of-state telephone number. He was taken into custody at a downtown Nashville business where he works.

“He acknowledged making the calls in an interview after his arrest,” police said in a statement. “It was determined that he had no means to carry out the threat.”

Williamson is also wanted in Columbia on an outstanding aggravated burglary warrant, police said.

“Threats to special events, schools and businesses are taken very seriously by the MNPD,” the statement said. “Those responsible, once identified, will be prosecuted.”

Sunday’s line up at Nissan Stadium includes Ricky Skaggs, Brett Eldredge, Cole Swindell, Dierks Bentley, Bebe Rexha and Luke Bryan.
