Sorry For The Down Time

All of us has family and that includes our publisher who had to leave his position temporarily Thursday to visit with his siblings. These are rare events as they all live a great distance apart and typically only visit via today’s technology. Thus causing the lack of news being published for the last several days.

This does give us a subject to talk about though.

Brothers and sisters are, more often than not, our first playmates and as a adults’ our oldest and most trusted friends. One finds the best friend, second parent, silly fights, partner in crime and protector in this one relation. In short, siblings are a friend and guide to each other. The friendship between siblings is similar to that which exists amongst peers. Having a sibling is a bliss. Seriously. For some they maybe irritating, annoying and what not, but, be sure, if there is a problem, they are the ones who would come first in front of you to protect you.

The fifth of the Ten Commandments says: “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you” (Exodus 20:12). The command to love and respect our parents applies equally to our family, our brothers and sisters.

Seize each moment you have to love and honor your family. The opportunity won’t last forever.
