Tweet referencing ‘The Squad’ compels Twitter and others to ban prominent conservative author

By ANDREW WEST  |  Freedom Outpost

Twitter is once again taking umbrage with the concept of free speech on their platform, silencing one of the conservative media’s most prolific authors.

This certainly isn’t the first time that Twitter and Facebook have worked to censor the views of conservatives, with their ever-expanding list of “no-no words” evolving at an unsustainable rate.  This throttling of the American narrative skews hard to the left, and just in time to once again meddle in a major US election.

Warner Todd Huston is the most recent conservative writer to feel the wrath of these social media miscreants, lashing out against the incident over at GodfatherPolitics.com.

On Sunday, I came across a tweet by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who was calling illegal aliens “immigrants.” This, of course, is a lie. Illegals are not “immigrants.” Illegals are lawbreaking criminals. The fact is actually right in the term “illegal alien.”

So, I tweeted the following phrase: “Illegal aliens are not immigrants. They are criminals.” Now that is a matter of fact in law.

But a few hours later, Twitter came to AOC’s aide and put a temporary ban on me for seven days for daring to make such a statement of truth.

And here is where it gets scary…

With that ban on Twitter fairly underway, some of my Facebook friends wondered why my Twitter feed suddenly went quiet. So, I posted a screen shot of the Twitter notice above to Facebook.

Minutes later I was given a three-day ban by Facebook, too.

Can facts be “wrong think”, as Orwell put it?

We are already seeing a glut of “fact checking” companies springing up in the digital ether like weeds after a storm, but the realization that “facts” suddenly spawned an entire, competitive industry such as this should be indication enough that there is no consensus among these organizations.

In short, the existence of any more than one fact checking company globally is a tell-tale sign of bias, and their perceived authority is what is being used to justify this fascist censorship.

The fix is in, folks, and Warner Todd Huston has learned this lesson the hard way.
