Gullah Celebration

NIBCAA has hosted the Hilton Head Island Gullah Celebration, since 1996, which showcases the rich cultural heritage of the Gullah people and their history on Hilton Head Island. Chamber Restaurant Week
Friday, February 3 – Saturday, February 4, 2023. Do you have a local bucket list of local restaurants that you want to try? Chamber Restaurant Week is back and it’s the best way to try the area’s newest and hottest spots. In our 15th year and with over 50 of Bluffton and Hilton Head Island restaurants participating, there will be something for everyone. All Saints Garden Tour Artist Poster Contest
Friday, February 3 – Tuesday, February 28, 2023. The Artist Poster Contest is part of the All Saints Garden Tour and donates all proceeds to local charities. The (In)disposable Art of Kirkland Smith
Friday, February 3 – Saturday, July 08, 2023. The (In)disposable Art of Kirkland Smith is a playful exhibition of assemblages created from disposable consumer waste–basically, trash. These 3-dimensional works of art speak to the problem of overconsumption and a need for environmental responsibility in a fresh, evocative style. Using trash as her medium rather than the subject of her art, Smith hopes to challenge consumer habits and attitudes in a way that’s positive and encouraging. View Event
An Evening of Poetry with Monica Lee Weatherly, Author of It Felt Like Mississippi
Friday, February 3, 2023 | 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Monica Lee Weatherly is winner of the Willie Morris Prize for Southern Poetry and author of the recently published chapbook It Felt Like Mississippi—a celebration of the impact of memories and experiences of living in the South. Bluffton Lutzie 43 5K
Saturday, February 4, 2023 | 8 AM. The Bluffton Lutzie 43 5K is an annual race to bring attention to the dangers of distracted driving, as well as it serves as a fundraiser for the Bluffton Lutzie 43 Scholarship. Bluffton area students who are graduating high school or in college can apply for the scholarship. Each year the amount has changed due to the amount of money raised. View Event
