There are groups in America working overtime—not to influence who people vote for, but rather to influence how the underlying election system actually operates.
To be more specific, I am referring to two separate, big-money operations that are both ready to spend about $80 million each in order to determine how local elections throughout the entire country are run.
This might sound like hyperbole, but it’s not. Let’s examine what these organizations are, and how they are trying to affect the election system.
