45th President Donald Trump thanked Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, for “so strongly defending” him in a post on Truth Social on Wednesday.

Trump’s gratitude followed after Brittany was condemned on social media for her seemingly Republican stance after users noticed that she “liked” (hearted) comments on social media posts that were pro-Trump.

The social media frenzy included Brittany liking a Donald Trump Instagram post, as well as comments which read “TRUMP-VANCE 2024,” and “Glad to see you aren’t backing down. We are all entitled to our own opinions and shouldn’t be bullied into submission.”

“I want to thank beautiful Brittany Mahomes for so strongly defending me, and the fact that MAGA is the greatest and most powerful Political Movement in the History of our now Failing Country. With Crime and Illegal Immigration totally out of control, INFLATION Ravaging all Americans, and a World that is laughing at the stupidity of our hapless ‘leaders,’ it is nice to see someone who loves our Country, and wants to save it from DOOM. What a great couple – See you both at the Super Bowl!” Trump proclaimed on Truth Social.

Patrick Mahomes, on the other hand, has not revealed his political leanings, prefering to keep his personal views private.

“I don’t want to pressure anyone to vote for a certain president,” the football player stated. “I want people to use their voice, whoever they believe in. I want them to do the research.”

Earlier in the week, Brittany re-posted a comment, doubling down on her beliefs and responding to the backlash without attempting to add fuel to the fire.

“Contrary to the tone of the world today….you can disagree with someone, and still love them. You can have differing views, and still be kind,” preacher Shane Pruitt commented, which Brittany reposted.

Many have also been speculating on a possible falling out between Brittany and her ultra-famous close friend, Taylor Swift, a staunch liberal who is currently dating Chiefs player Travis Kelce, a teammate of Patrick Mahomes.

The two have been seen in box seats at multiple Chiefs games, supporting their significant others together.

Both Swift and Kelce have been known to support Democrat candidates, which is what prompted the speculated rift between Swift and Brittany. However, insiders claim that the two women have decided not to speak about politics in order to protect their friendship.

“Taylor is not going to be written into this anti-Brittany narrative because they have made a pact to not discuss politics,” said insider sources, according to the DailyMail.

Swift and Brittany Mahomes are also expected to sit together for the first Chiefs game of the new NFL season at Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday.
