Snow Alert for Middle Tennessee

Colder air is set to return to Middle Tennessee, accompanied by enough moisture to produce flurries and snow showers. A light dusting of snow is possible in areas just north and east of Nashville, with slightly higher amounts expected in the elevated regions of the Cumberland Plateau.

Temperatures will remain below or near freezing early Wednesday, with potentially slick spots on roads, bridges, and overpasses, especially in areas northeast of Nashville early in the day.

Wednesday will bring variable cloudiness, breezy conditions, and chilly temperatures, with highs in the 40s and wind chills in the 30s. An isolated rain or snow shower may occur during the afternoon, but significant accumulation is unlikely.
