The front is set to arrive Friday night, accompanied by sharp temperature drops and light snow that will linger into Saturday. Snow accumulations of 2-5 inches are expected along the I-25 corridor, with lighter totals in southern Colorado and the Eastern Plains.
Saturday and Sunday will see single-digit or below-zero highs, with wind chills between -15°F and -35°F. Frostbite risk is high, with exposure times of 30 minutes or less.
Snow may linger into Monday morning, with highs in the low teens and gradual clearing by afternoon. Conditions will improve slightly on Tuesday as sunshine returns and temperatures approach freezing.
