The Trump administration placed all federal diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) employees on paid leave on Wednesday, directing federal agencies to also remove all websites and social media accounts related to DEI.
The executive order also calls for an examination of DEI programs for alleged discriminatory practices and a focus on how to approach DEI initiatives in the private sector.
Federal department heads now have until Jan. 31 to provide a list of any changes made to contract or personnel positions since Nov. 5, 2024, to hide their connection to DEI programs. Read the executive order here.
