When it was finally disclosed that the pilot of the Blackhawk helicopter that took down an American Airlines plane over the skies of Washington, DC was a woman, the first thought that came to many minds was DEI – that she “didn’t earn it.”
I don’t know if she did or didn’t. That’s not the point.
For decades we’ve witnessed less-qualified individuals get scholarships, jobs, and promotions, not based on ability, but due to race, sex, or handicap and lowered standards.
Think Kamala Harris and Ketanji Brown Jackson for starters.
And because so many less-qualified individuals were rewarded for something other than merit, the policy diminishes the accomplishments of others who DID earn it. That crap needs to end once and for all.
In other news, another glaring contrast between Donald Trump and Democrats…
When America’s enemies harm the U.S. or any of our citizens in some way, Democrats declare that they will be “brought to justice” and “held accountable.”
On the other hand, after Trump launched airstrikes against terrorists in Somalia this weekend, he declared on social media: “WE WILL FIND YOU, AND WE WILL KILL YOU!”
Which threat do you think terrorists take more seriously?
Speaking of threats, the Democrats elected a new national party chairman on Saturday, Ken Martin. And in his acceptance speech, he warned Trump and his GOP allies…
“We’re coming. This is a new Democratic Party. We’re taking the gloves off.”
I’m guessing MAGA isn’t exactly quaking in its boots.
The death-wish D’s also elected gun-grabber David Hogg – the most annoying little twerp since Greta Thunberg – as their second banana. Only Republicans could possibly blow this opportunity to expand their congressional majorities in 2026.
Wrapping up on a Nevada topic…
Assemblywoman Danielle Gallant (R-Clark) went into the lions’ den on Friday and participated in a town hall jointing sponsored by Jon Ralston’s liberal news blog and far-left PBS. She faced off with the Democrat tag team of Sen. Melanie Scheible and Assembly Majority Leader Sandra Jauregui.
The fear among conservatives is that they won’t get a fair shake from left-wing media and that their positions will be misrepresented or their statements will be misquoted.
And Ralston did not disappoint. His Nevada Co-Dependent news blog article yesterday included the following…
“Jauregui and Gallant both said they plan on introducing legislation this session for gun buyback programs that allow people to voluntarily surrender their firearms to local gun shops, aiming to reduce the number of firearms in circulation.”
Gallant said no such thing about a “buyback program” and the Co-Dependent had to issue a correction. But the damage was already done – just as intended. Ralston’s 23 readers saw the original but likely never saw the correction.
Which reminds conservatives that when you see something in the “fake news” media that doesn’t sound quite right, consider the source. Onward…
