I’ve got news!
I’ve just returned from a week in Washington, D.C.
It was a whirlwind, full of scheduled meetings, surprise encounters, and last-minute meetings…plus the opportunity to sit in on the Senate Finance Committee when they voted to confirm Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
We have only 12-18 months to advance three key issues, at least two of them into law.
Every minute and every encounter mattered. This includes our meeting with The Speaker’s Office. See the Facebook Live video I did from the steps of the U.S. Capitol after I left the meeting.
On behalf of CCHF, I was walking the halls of Congress, bumping into members (really!), presenting to groups, and meeting with staffers — with four goals:
- Re-introduction of the Retirement Freedom Act (RFA) – a simple two-page bill to give people the freedom to opt out of Medicare without losing Social Security benefits. We made headway.
- Repeal of the unconstitutional REAL ID card and system – Senator Rand Paul introduced this bill in 2017, and now, as TSA prepares for “progressive enforcement”, is the perfect time to get it passed. Possible options presented themselves.
- Introduction of the “Make Health Insurance Real Again” concept – we’re working with a member on the bill, so presenting it to staffers to judge interest before it’s finished.
- Stop TSA’s new rule to impose “progressive enforcement” of REAL ID – because it was just issued, it can be pulled back using the Congressional Review Act (CRA) – we heard there is interest in doing so, but looking for the perfect author.
If you support CCHF financially, THANK YOU.
Our work is only possible only because of you.
If you’re not yet a supporter, please donate today!
We need to be at the U.S. Capitol more than ever. Your support will make sure that happens!
Working together for freedom,
