Last week, a Quinnipiac University national poll found that Democrats in Congress have hit an all-time low. Only 21% of voters approve of the job congressional Democrats are doing, while 68% disapprove.

BIBLICAL VIEW
The verse for today: “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” – John 15:5.
Has this happened to you? You get in your car, turn the key and nothing happens. Dead battery, right? Not always. Corrosion on the terminal posts can stop the battery from getting a good connection. Clean off the corrosion and the car starts.
Do you have a good connection to God? Obviously, Jesus isn’t talking about batteries in the above verse. No, He uses an analogy of a vine and branches because He wants us to bear “much fruit.” And a branch can’t bear fruit if it is cut off from the vine. Right?
But if you’re connected to Jesus, you will be fruit bearing. If you aren’t bearing “much fruit” check to see what has corroded your connection to God.
You may think that you don’t have time to read the Bible and pray but how much time do you spend on social media or watching TV? If you’ve lost your connection, identify what’s causing it and repent of it and remove it.
Next, reconnect to Jesus. Start a habit of reading the Bible every day. Pray. Get involved in a good Bible preaching church. If God feels far away, make no mistake who moved.
