Three Tennessee cities were ranked among the “South’s Best Cities of 2025” according to a new list by Southern Living magazine.
Nashville, ranked fifth, was the highest-ranked Tennessee city. Readers praised its vibrant neighborhoods, such as East Nashville, its thriving food scene, and its diverse sports culture.
Chattanooga and Franklin, both showcasing historical attractions, also appeared on the list at Nos. 8 and 14 respectively.
The list featured 20 cities voted on by 10,000 Southern Living readers, who ranked Charleston, South Carolina, as the best city overall.
