USPS truck opens during drive in South Memphis, scattering packages everywhere

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) — A U.S. Postal Service truck carrying packages in South Memphis on Wednesday morning spilled packages into a busy intersection.

The packages were scattered across the roadway on South Parkway East and South Bellevue Boulevard.

Investigators believe the back of the truck opened during the overnight drive, allowing the packages to spill into the street.

The scene is clear, and the intersection is open again to traffic.

This was not a crash and nothing was hit, according to Memphis Police.
