MUTH’S TRUTHS

(Chuck Muth) – I’m still trying to catch up after spending a week in DC.  But a couple of quick notes…

First, while I sometimes won’t be able to send out a daily email digest of News & Views with all the links when I’m traveling, our writers will continue to post articles and columns on the website.

If you don’t get an email, you can still go to nevadanewsandviews.com to catch up on the latest. Or follow us on Twitter/X: x.com/NevadaNewsViews.

Secondly, our Brittany Sheehan posted an article (see below) about the news this week that former Democrat Gov. Steve Sisolak – architect of the COVID-era “Sisolak Shutdown” – is mulling a Trump-like comeback after being ousted by Republican Gov. Joe Lombardo in 2022.

I don’t buy it.

Steven Sisolak is no Donald Trump. He’d have to run on a platform favoring open borders, going soft on criminals, men in women’s sports, DEI, the Green New Deal, higher taxes, bigger government, and no school choice for parents.

Not to mention his serious abuse of executive power during COVID that messed up families, “non-essential” (private sector) workers, students, and businesses LONG after the “emergency” was over.

Good luck with that.

No, I think was nothing but a trial balloon indicating Democrat unhappiness with Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford’s even further-left gubernatorial candidacy which is based almost entirely on suing the Trump administration on the very issues that got Trump elected.

The prickly, thin-skinned, card-carrying race-hustler suffers from a serious case of TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome), as well as a massive inferiority complex. He’s as “woke” as it gets and would be crushed at the polls by Lombardo.

And the Democrats know it.

The Sisolak announcement is merely a sign that Ford shouldn’t and won’t get a free shot in the Democrat primary and signals others – such as Secretary of State Cisco “Dirty Voter Rolls” Aguilar and termed-out State Treasurer Zach Conine – that the nomination is open and up for grabs.

Grab some popcorn!
