Blue Origin successfully launched its first all-female crew into space Monday, with pop star Katy Perry and journalist Gayle King among the six-person team.
The mission lasted about 11 minutes, reaching over 60 miles above Earth and briefly entering outer space. Watch the launch here.
The crew members, including Jeff Bezos’ fiancée Lauren Sanchez, former NASA scientists, and a filmmaker, described the journey as emotional and profound.
Perry brought a daisy into space in honor of her 4-year-old daughter, Daisy, calling the experience a “supernatural” journey filled with love.
