Thieves Tunnel Their Way to $20 Million Robbery

Police are searching for suspects who tunneled beneath a Los Angeles jewelry store, evaded security cameras, broke into a safe, and stole $20 million in gold, cash, and jewelry.

The owners of the family-run Love Jewelry believe the thieves spent weeks digging a tunnel from an abandoned theater next door. Security footage apparently captured the sound of a drill or saw cutting through the store’s wall.

The family said the stolen jewelry was not insured. They are offering a $100,000 reward for any information about the burglary.
