This volcano sits in the Ring of Fire and is north of the Cascadia Subduction zone. Mt St Hellens, Mt Rainier, and Mt Baker are also part of the Ring of Fire.
In the past year, there have been an increasing number of quakes in seabed volcanoes in and off the west side of the Cascadia Subduction Zone.
In the last two months, there have been two major earthquakes in California, along fault lines affected by the Cascadia Subduction Zone.
The land mass shift, that has been forecast for some time, could be imminent.
