Making human beings is a woman’s superpower. Being a good mom makes her superhero.
Raising children is not easy but it’s probably the most important job in the world.
William Ross Wallace wrote, “The hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world.”
Dr. James Dobson said, “If they (mothers) can get control of children…they can change the whole culture in one generation.”
President Abraham Lincoln said to a friend, “All that I am or hope to be I owe to my angel mother.”
Science has also discovered the importance of mothers. A 2012 study from Washington University School of Medicine found that children who received warm, maternal nurturing in early childhood developed a larger hippocampus, a key structure important to learning, memory and response to stress.
A mother’s job description includes being a teacher, a nurse, a psychologist, a cook, a manager, a recreational director, a housecleaner, a leader, mentor, a tutor, a comforter, a moral counselor, a chauffeur and she must have unlimited patience. Our nation’s future relies on mothers successfully raising good children.
Tragically, since 1973, over 62 million babies have been assassinated in their mother’s womb. But in 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade and states like Indiana outlawed abortions. Unfortunately, in pro-abortion states, abortions have slightly increased.
The evil of abortion won’t end until American women have a change of heart and realize that children are a gift from God.
The Bible says, “Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.” — Psalm 127:3.
To all of the mothers who didn’t end the life of their child, I say “thank you.”
