Morris, the alligator featured in films like Happy Gilmore, Dr. Doolittle 2, and Interview with the Vampire, died last week at the Colorado Gator Farm in Mosca.
Morris began his Hollywood career in 1975 and appeared in movies and television until 2006, when he retired to the reptile park north of Alamosa.
While his exact age was unknown, Morris was believed to be over 80 years old and may have been older than 100. He was the oldest alligator at the park. On Facebook, the Colorado Gator Farm announced it plans to preserve Morris via taxidermy “so that he can continue to scare children for years to come.”
