Gary Varvel: Colts owner, Jim Irsay

The city of Indianapolis is in mourning since the death of Colts owner, Jim Irsay at 65. Since his father Robert Irsay moved the NFL franchise to Indianapolis in 1984, the Colts have transformed the city.

Jim took over the team after his father passed away in 1997 and nine years later brought home the Vince Lombardi trophy winning Super Bowl XLI. Jim Irsay was an owner that the players loved.

Irsay also known for his generous philanthropy. He donated millions of dollars to various causes, including mental health awareness, addiction treatment, and local charities in Indiana and beyond.

News of his death shocked me. I knew that he was in poor health but didn’t know how bad.

Trying to scare voters with fake news, is not working but the democrats keep trying. I didn’t have room in this cartoon to add all of the lies democrats and the legacy media have repeatedly touted. But you get the idea.

Michael Barone writes, “The Democratic Party today, with its discredited leadership and its college-educated core, seems badly off kilter.”
