Trump Protests Don’t Dampen Army Parade

The U.S. Army celebrated its 250th anniversary with a military parade through Washington D.C. on Saturday, while activists held nationwide protests against the Trump administration’s immigration policies.

Hundreds of thousands of spectators were expected for the parade, which included close to 6,600 soldiers and hundreds of vehicles and aircraft, Army officials said.

The “No Kings” protest website included a reminder to protestors: “We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any confrontation with those who disagree with our values.” Activists planned to protest in all 50 states and Washington, D.C.
