More than one place in Colorado could see its first 100-degree day of the summer this week.
Scattered showers will fend off the heat wave today, with highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s along the Front Range, but the cooldown won’t last long.
The heat will ramp back up Wednesday and build through the week. Places like Greeley, Limon, Burlington, and La Junta are forecast to hit 100 degrees on Friday. High 90s in Denver could also tip into the triple digits on Friday. On average, Denver typically sees just one 100-degree day per summer.
