New Alzheimer’s Treatment Trialed in Knoxville

A Knoxville clinic is leading the charge on a promising new Alzheimer’s treatment that could slow disease progression and improve quality of life.

Genesis Neuroscience is testing an FDA-approved infusion drug that removes harmful brain buildup linked to Alzheimer’s and dementia.

While not yet available on the market, early results show some patients are regaining the ability to work and resume daily activities. The clinic is also working on home-use versions for rural patients, and doctors are optimistic that a cure could be on the horizon.
