TRANSFORMING AMERICA
In 2008, Barack Obama promised to “fundamentally transform America.” Unfortunately, that is one promise that he kept.
First, Obama fundamentally transformed from his support for traditional marriage between a man and a woman during his presidential run in 2008, to supporting same sex marriage and in 2015, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that same sex marriage was constitutional.
The LGBTQ (Letter people) had already fundamentally transformed Hollywood, big business, the media and popular culture before Obama’s part in fundamentally transforming the definition of marriage.
3 STAGES OF FALLING
As I wrote in May of 2023 — Romans 1:18-32 is a list of 3 stages of a nation’s fall. And you can see how America has repeated the pattern.
Shameful desires: (Romans 1:24-25) The sex revolution
Shameful lusts: (Romans 1:26-27) Homosexuality
Depraved mind: (Romans 1:28:32) Transgender movement
In the last 8 years Americans have been subjected to the rise of transgender madness. Men identifying as women demanded access to women’s bathrooms, biological males began competing and winning girls’ sports, men dressed as drag queens read to children, pornography in school libraries, and children in schools secretly transitioning the gender without their parents’ knowledge. And the worst of all — genital mutilation.
What I didn’t understand back in May when I wrote about Romans 1, was the specific spiritual influence behind the movement. You see, I mistakenly thought the trans madness was something unique to our time in history. I was wrong.
TRANSGENDER MADNESS
As Jonathan Cahn states in his book, The Return of the Gods, Ishtar was not only the goddess of sexual immorality but also of transformation.
According to World History Encyclopedia, “Inanna was the Sumerian goddess of fertility, love, sensuality, procreation, and war, later identified with Ishtar. Her clergy were male, female, and transgender with the men and women frequently cross-dressing to embody Inanna’s transformative powers. The androgyny of Inanna’s clergy and adherents is referenced in the poem in line 121 where she is said to have the power “to turn a man into a woman and a woman into a man.“
There is nothing new under the sun. What has been, is happening again.
Transgender confusion is actually demonic delusion. This is what happens to a nation that rejects God and the Bible. When God gives them over to a ‘depraved mind’ the men pretend to be feminine and women pretend to be masculine. Unknowingly, people in the trans movement are becoming like their goddess Inanna/Ishtar. It is sad to think that their minds have been blinded to the truth of who God made them to be.
In the latest battle to protect children, a Bill Clinton appointed Federal Judge in Idaho blocked a new state law that would have prevented gender transitions for minors. Sigh.
America is schizophrenic. On one hand the U.S. missionary movement sends more Christian missionaries abroad than any other country.
On the other hand the U.S. is the leading producer of pornography in the world. How can we understand the coexistence of good and evil?
WHEAT AND THE TARES
Look at Jesus’ parable about the wheat and tares (weeds).
Matthew 13:24 “Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; 25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.”
In verse 36, Jesus’ disciples ask Him to explain the parable of the wheat and tares. In verses 37-39, Jesus says that He is the sower and that “the field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom,” but the tares are the sons of the wicked one, the devil.
At the end of the age, God will send His angels to gather out of His kingdom, “those who practice lawlessness and will cast them into the furnace of fire.”
Can recognize the “sons of the wicked one” today?
Romans 1:29-37 says that people with a “depraved mind” will be “filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful…”
NEEDED IN 2024
What America needs is a spiritual transformation like the “Great Awakening” of the 18th century.
Revelation 2:5 says, “Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works…”
Instead of looking to politicians to solve our problems, Americans need to remember from where we have fallen, repent and return in prayer to the God of our Founding Fathers. But why would they unless Christians tell them the truth about what is happening. …
