Six Tennessee U.S. representatives voted against a “minibus” spending bill on Thursday that would fund six of the 12 appropriations divisions for Fiscal Year 2024.
The 1,050-page spending package passed the House of Representatives by a 339-85 vote.
U.S. Representatives Diana Harshbarger (R-TN-01), Tim Burchett (R-TN-02), Scott DesJarlais (R-TN-04), Andy Ogles (R-TN-05), John Rose (R-TN-06), and Mark Green (R-TN-07) all voted against the spending package.
U.S. Representatives Chuck Fleischmann (R-TN-03) and David Kustoff (R-TN-08) voted with the majority.
Based on the Congressional Scorecard which lists several key votes in the 118th Congress (January 3, 2023 – January 3, 2025) and ranks congressmen based on his or her fidelity to the Constitutional and limited-government principles, Representative Kustoff’s nor Representative Fleischmann voting record has been less than stellar.
