A worker was injured after falling 60 feet while doing repairs on the Incline Railway following the Lookout Mountain, Tennessee fire in December 2024.
The Chattanooga Fire Department (CFD) were called to perform a rescue mission just after 1:30pm on Wednesday, February 26. Red Shift companies scattered to different points of the incline to perform the rescue when they learned the worker was injured.
Firefighters and rope technicians are lifting the worker up 60 feet using a rope system. CFD says that “Then they have to get him over the tracks and into a cart on a pulley system and get him up the incline where paramedics are waiting.”
