The U.S. Army Reserve is taking “appropriate action” against a captain who claimed the Trump administration is attempting to erase transgender people, the Daily Caller can confirm.
On “Transgender Day of Visibility,” a soldier who identified as Christina Winters posted a video on TikTok criticizing the Trump administration under the username “alexandrahamilton01.”
Captain Winters slammed the Trump administration for its recent actions related to transgender individuals, including a prohibition on transgender people serving in the military and a ban on medical facilities providing sex changes for minors.
“The current administration wants us to not be visible, they want us to be invisible, they want to remove us from society,” Winters alleged. “They want to ensure that we are disenfranchised, that we no longer have a voice, that we no longer have the right to enter any space that is safe.”
“They want to remove us from our homes, they want to remove us from our jobs,” Winters continued. “It is disheartening times right now.”

Although the post included a disclaimer noting it does not “represent the views or opinions of the U.S. Army,” Winters wore an official uniform in the video.
The Army Reserve said it is “taking appropriate actions” in response to the post.
“Army regulations prohibit soldiers from wearing official uniforms when speaking in an unofficial capacity. As such, Capt. Winters’ command is taking appropriate actions. Under the Privacy Act, the Army Reserve cannot comment on those actions,” the public affairs office for the Army Reserve said in a statement to the Caller.
The U.S. Army Reserve confirmed that Winters is currently serving as a captain and shared a copy of Winters’s service record, which indicates Winters served in combat as an infantryman and received several service awards, including two Army Commendation medals.
“The Army Reserve is aware of Capt. Christina Winters’ TIKTOK and ‘X’ posts that she performed outside of her service duties, and as such, her comments and views do not reflect the policies and/or viewpoints of the Army Reserve,” the U.S. Army Reserve told the Caller in a statement.
While the Army used female pronouns, Winters appears to be a biological man.
The Trump administration has taken multiple steps to root out Biden’s agenda and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) from the military.
Hegseth recently mandated sex-neutral standards for men and women serving in combat in March.
President Trump’s Defense Sec. Pete Hegseth reinstated Trump’s ban on transgender people serving in the military in February. Additionally, the Department of Defense (DOD) directed the removal of DEI media from DOD websites and social media accounts.

Republican members of Congress blasted Winters’s social media post, including Texas Rep. Keith Self, a U.S. Army veteran who served in the military for 25 years.
“He is free to live his life of fantasy, but he is not free to make political statements in uniform—that is a violation of federal law,” Rep. Self told the Caller. “The U.S. military is not a jobs program for the mentally ill. Thankfully, President Trump is working to end woke policies and restore lethality to our fighting forces.”
A veteran source told the Caller that Winters’s post could constitute “Conduct Unbecoming an Officer” under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), which can lead to a service member being courtmartialed or discharged from the military.
North Carolina Rep. Mark Harris and member of the House Judiciary Committee similarly slammed Winters and contrasted the Biden administration’s radical military agenda with President Trump’s.
“President Trump’s military is focused on its number one priority — building a lethal fighting force,” Harris told the Caller.
“This is in stark contrast to the past four years of the Biden administration’s imposition of radical ideologies on our men and women in uniform. Videos like this just emphasize what the average American already agrees on: pronoun usage and transgender pride will not protect us from our foreign adversaries. Secretary Pete Hegseth and the Trump administration are right to refocus our armed forces on military readiness.”
In the video, Winters also advocated for people to be “annoyingly” proud on Trans Day of Visibility.
Winters is a public affairs officer with the U.S. Army Reserve, according to LinkedIn. Aside from serving in the army, Winters is an “independent journalist” for “This Just In News,” which appears to be his show that broadcasts on his social media accounts.
Winters also recently attended an anti-Tesla protest and interviewed protesters, according to footage under the account “Alexandra Hamilton.” (RELATED: Trump’s Pentagon Says Transgenderism ‘Incompatible’ With Military Mission)
In another video, Winters addressed the Signal chat leaks. The Atlantic Editor-in-Chief Jeffery Goldberg was inadvertently added to a Signal chat about strikes against the Houthis by National Security Advisor Mike Waltz.
“We need competent leaders in our government and department of Defense and should hold our leaders accountable for missteps in top secret information that put our national defense in jeopardy,” Winters’ caption read.
The “Trans Day of Visibility” video seems to be the only post on TikTok where Winters is in official uniform.
